A very competent Rioja Reserva recommended by an Argentine friend for tapas meal out. Bright & confident in its cherry & vanilla notes, with enough barrel age to round it out & give some balsamic- as in aged, quality balsamic-depth. Kind of like a haircut that doesn’t surprise or disappoint. And a decent restaurant bottle under 40$ is always a good thing… — 2 years ago
A subtley spicy number. Smooth and dark, yummy treat from Tim enjoyed with NFL and plenty of cheese. — 4 years ago

Just had this a few months ago, commented that I wanted to see how it would age. Better hide the rest of that’s what I want. I sure is lovely right now. — 3 years ago
2010. Got a lot of time left. Dark dusty fruit, dill pickle barrel, vanilla, earth, stony minerality and nice acid. — 2 years ago
This is actually the Reserva. 75% Tempranillo and 25% Garnacha blend. Bold aromas and flavors of black berry, black licorice, cedar, earth and tobacco. Broad and generous texture. Moderate acidity. There is still muscular (yet dusty) tannin present. A pretty short, but oak oak dominant, finish. Thank You Ron B! Revisited in March 2023. Above notes still apply. — 3 years ago
