Nate Walsh and his Terroir Testimony. Year after year, he crafts liquid, articulate, honeydew wine...this one aged to perfection! 2014 allowed for plenty of acidity - and this the ideal match to a honey-baked ham with Roo Scalloped Potatoes!! — 8 years ago

Social Oak. Very good. — 2 years ago
At ninefor years this richly extracted and concentrated PV is really turning that beautiful third turn. Bordeaux concentration with a polished and seductive finish are the hallmarks of this solid gold medal wine. Took this to Tuskies and paired with fillet tips, venison rack and lamb shank. Served all three proteins with complementary harmony. — 7 years ago

Abit light. But worth it. With Parma Ham watching sunset in Phuket.... — 9 years ago
Wow! My cellar aging project scores another ‘discovery’ win. At almost 10 years from harvest, this Nate Walsh built beauty was doing what aged Nebbiolo is supposed to do! Using Horton fruit (Orange, Va), this bottle has metamorphosed into a seductive herbal-rose tea. It’s acidity is almost non-detectable, yet it was the perfect pairing for Tuscan-sausages & peppers w/creamy mash. The flavors of this Nebbiolo are so alive that they danced effortlessly with the sautéed peppers and complimented the herbs in the locally made Tuscans. Just wow…1 ‘12 remains plus 2 ‘10’s. — 4 years ago

Happy Spring! It’s one of our favorite points in the year. More; daylight, a little warmer in CA and everything starts to bloom which, means a long summer of gardening and being outdoors every day/night is not far off.
Since it was such a great day and basically most Californians are shut-Ins, the voluntary self quarantining was getting to me. I did the landscaping and got an afternoon of fresh air today. A breath of fresh air...ahhh! Wow, was it needed after Gavin’s Newsom’s estimate of 25.5 million Californians would be infected with Coronavirus over 8 weeks yesterday.
So, a good night to celebrate another day of being virus free with my 2nd favorite N/V Rosé Champagne.
All my numerous previous notes apply.
Stay safe everyone and remember the new terminology of the new decade...social distancing! Cheers! 🍾🥂

This was an enjoyable blush with a nice, sweet, fruitful flavor. A good wine to serve for guest that don’t normally do reds or rose. It’s definitely on the sweeter side, but that didn’t stop me from having a glass or two or three. — 8 years ago

Licking melon rinds in a flower garden under a peachy-lavender sunset as you play scratchers with your best girlfriends. Très YUM. — 9 years ago

Deep ruby coloration with zero translucency. Strong, jammy black fruits with oak and vanilla on the nose and mirrored on the palate with notes of spice. Long finish. Extremely rich and lush mouthfeel. — 6 months ago
