Beautiful color, like if you were to look up the color palate for champagne it would be this. Slightly tinged with amber when the light crosses through.
Sumptuous and even unctuous aroma of chalk and peaches. Maybe a bit of bready goodness.
Bubbles luxuriate in a flurry. Swirls like the arms of the Milky Way atop its surface. A golden liquid of stone fruit, apricots, and white cherries. Lovely. A standout.

@Delectable Wine : This is the Delouvin Meunier perpetuel. I didn’t see it in the database.
Annual birthday WWC hosting. As normal, 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert, all presented blind.
I knew nothing about this producer when I purchased, but I feel like Pinot meunièr can become magical when given age/healthy amounts of reserve wine. This is from a 1992-2017 solera. 100% meunièr. 5g/l dosage.
Faint salmon-tinge color to this. Aromatics aren’t overly expressive, but there is some honey roasted cashews and spiced pear. On the palate, this is absolutely delicious…loads of fruit (as meunièr normally shows) with golden and red raspberries, golden delicious apple, more spiced pear, nutty and baking spices. Creamy and layered, it has a profile of “freshly aged”, with the reserve wines coming in to play at the finish, broadening out the wine. No need to hold these. I should find more. — a year ago
On the very mature golden yellow side but excellent in good pairing. Time to drink up. — 4 months ago
I love these Thevenet Cru Morgons but they need a lot of age on them. The 2022 today has beautiful fruit on the nose but underwhelms on the palate. I feel like they add fruit and intensity as they age. NB it’s helped a lot by a long decant - even this young. Ps did adding Charly to the label take something away? — 6 months ago
Nicely evolved from half bottle, with nutty aromas, ripe apple, a bit of orange blossom, a salty whiff, just a tiny hint of marcipan. So intriguing. Needs a moment in the glass to fully develop.
On the palate this starts off rich & very ripe but then the juicy acidity kicks in. And the minerality & the hint of tannin. Good depth & precision with over ripe lemons, orange peel marmalade and ripe yellow apples.
Good stuff! — 2 years ago

Kicking off a meal w friends, I want to say this has no business as an under 20$ blanc de blanc from Burgundy— but boy it does. Rich yeasty chard, not the last word on detail or the finest mousse… but 18.97$!!!!! — 12 days ago
