The Headliner

Domaine de Marquiliani

Anne Amalric White Blend

Spectacular portfolio headliner rose from Marquiluani. I have the darker of the two rose’s they make but this is on its own very pale pink. It has elegant savory rosemary and tarragon with subtle strawberry melon accents. The mouth is a symphony of herbal flavors playing with some weight and stringent acidity. It is elegant, powerful, concentrated, and one of the best rose’s I’ve taken home. If you can find it definitely get a handful. It’s from the Kermit Lynch portfolio. — 7 years ago

Mas La Plana Penedès Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Superb wine - kinda headliner of Torres family. Perfect pairing to very special event.Superb wine - kinda headliner of Torres family. Perfect pairing to very special event.
Deep, smooth, noble. Can't get rid of feeling my glass was just poured from clay jug. Behind wet clay notes one can easy determine ripe plum, black currant and cumin. Very well balanced. Definitely best from Spain I ever had

The Headliner California Pinot Grigio

Pretty good for the price! — 3 years ago

Arterberry Maresh

Maresh Chardonnay 2011

Oregon Chard is really stepping it up a couple notches these days. This one is a headliner. Consistently fantastic featuring great citrus, salinity, and transparency while still retaining hints of creaminess. — 7 years ago

Wenzlau Vineyard

Estate Perch Pinot Noir 2013

Superb! Light, young, this wine is flying! Juicy and fruity in the finest way California can deliver — not overpowering, not sticky, not chewy, not hot. Instead, it's feminine, playful, very happy and smooth. In love with this — my personal headliner of Wenzlau's 2013 release. — 9 years ago

Valdespino

Inocente Fino Dry Sherry Palomino Fino

July 4th surprise headliner to a meal of cold cucumber soup (buttermilk, anchovies, etc) & Argentine wild shrimp sautéed in coconut oil, w ginger, coriander & scallion. Truly a pedigree fino that seems to shape shift & adapt to every flavor profile. What is a constant is it’s vigor & freshness, but not light: Yeasty, round, bouillon cubes. The Zelig of wine.....? — 5 years ago

If this was a red, with the same quality, also at 20$, there would be blood on the streets @Aaron Tan

Domaine Auguste Clape

Le Vin des Amis Syrah 2014

Great match for Katz's Pastrami sandwich and sipping during a lazy afternoon. Just plain fun wine in a bojo sort of way. Bright fruit is the headliner with a touch of herbs and earth as the supporting cast. Had a touch of barnyard upon popping but that blew off with an hour decanting. Saved some for leftovers; got kept the band together. — 7 years ago

Ovid

Hexameter Napa Valley Red Blend 2013

Saved this as our headliner since we all thought it was going to be the WOTN BUT Bucella's Katrina Cuvee edged it out!!!!!!
This was amazing but we all preferred Katrina tonight. However., it may be because we committed infanticide and drank Ovid while it was still in Diapers. This was an amazing wine and will definitely develop into a Rock Star BUT in the meantime.......Katrina had us all at "Hello".
