Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo Rosa-e

Beautiful color, like a very light red or a dark rosé. Loads of strawberries on the nose and palate. Lovely floral aromas too. This definitely drank like a rosé, but paired well with the heartier fare we enjoyed tonight. This was a great find! 100% Montepulciano. 1/1/23. — 2 years ago

Amazing nose, with roses and floral scents. Tasted blind I would think it was a gerwertztramminer — 7 years ago

Very interesting. In Puglia, they sometimes call the Primitivo grape “Zinfandel,” because they are genetically related. But that always leaves ambiguity about whether this is true Zinfandel or Primitivo by another name.
