100% Merlot from Maremma, Tuscany. Dark Ruby, impenetrable in colour. Ripe black fruit , plummy notes, Barb thought a jammy note. Aromas also of pipe tobacco. The palate is velvety with a hedonistic feel about it. Oak has integrated. I need to drink the remaining 2 bottles in the next couple of years. One of the 1001 wines. Robert Parker gave the 2000 vintage the perfect 100 points. — 10 months ago
This is as great Tuscany can get - 100% Cabernet Franc, with beautiful fruit, very dark appearance, dark cherry, herb and chocolate flavours. Duemani refers to the two hands of Luca d’Attoma, oenologist also known from Tua Rita and Le Macchiole, two other great Tuscany estates. Prices have almost doubled since 2005, but this wine is worth it! — 2 years ago
