Light, medium body, balanced taste (not too fruity or sweet). — 2 years ago
To celebrate my 750th review, I chose this wonderful White Port.
This 100% Chardonnay, white port, from Israel, is golden in color.
Gorgeous nose of brandy, lemons, sweet cherries, caramel, sherry, cooked figs, citrus and honey.
Full bodied and bold, buttery and elegant, with high acidity and great legs.
Sweet on the palate with citrus, brandy, honey, caramel, spices and white pepper.
Long finish with honey notes.
Hand harvested, at night, and aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.
What an awesome port. Very elegant, sweet but not too sweet. The high acidity balances it out beautifully. Really nice quality. — 9 years ago

Dark purple in color with a short purple rim.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing raspberries, fresh cherries, spices, light oak, dark coffee, vegetables, light herbs, bonfire, earth and peppercorn.
Short finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a very interesting Cabernet Sauvignon blend from israel. Feels very fresh and young.
This 8 year old changes every 30 minutes in the decanter. Right out of the bottle, Syrah notes were very pronounced with lots of barnyard and dark chocolate notes. Tasted more like a Northern Rhône Syrah.
After 30 minutes it tastes more like a new world Merlot. Needed 3 hours in the decanter to open up properly, and then it felt like a spicy Right Bank Bordeaux. A very interesting journey.
I had this vintage 4 years ago and liked it better then. A little unbalanced at this point, but a good food wine.
A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 5% Syrah. Aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. Kosher and not Mevushal.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
