100% Riesling from different plots on granite soils at the top the Kaefferkopf Grand Cru, on the south-east facing slopes above Ammerschwihr, between Kaysersberg and Niedermorshwihr, northwest of Colmar (They also make a blend of Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris from this grand cru, one of the only two grand crus is Alsace which allow blends of different varieties). Domaine Jean-Marc Bernhard Alsace Grand Cru Riesling ‘Wineck-Schlossberg’ 2019: Light-bodied. Vibrant acidity. Refreshing taste. Classic Riesling nose with palate flavors of apple, apricot, lemon & minerals. Lovely off-dry finish. All in all, a clean & bright Alsace Riesling; very pleasant, very versatile, good value. Happy Saturday to all! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
Zero sulfite bio wine - nice easy drinking blend. Not the most unique flavor profile but easy drinking and not excessively sweet. — 7 years ago
Parfait pour terminer , le vin est pur , une très faible sensation de sucre résiduel , très aromatique , une tisane ! — 8 years ago
Red fruit- cherry, strawberry, dried herbs, damp earth and baking spice. M+ acid, m body and tannin. Great structure with minerality and ripe fruit on the palate. — 9 years ago
Relatively Sugary, with a nice ripe fruits taste (orange, apple, apricò). Quite floral nose. Long 9-10 — 2 years ago
A wine of gras, texture, perfume and complex interplay of fruit and spice. Grilled peach, poached pear, white cherry, rose petals, caraway, cloves, spice, stone. Considerable RS, has to be 40 g/l +, but its phenolic grip and weight balance it. Been enjoying it over 7 days, great with red curry, harrissa chicken and cous cous, and triple cream — 3 years ago

Celebrating Bastille Day with the spring dinner of the Confrerie St Etienne of Alsace association. Wonderful menu and perfectly paired wines.
A unique blend...Pinot Blanc and muscat. The muscat was most noticeable on the nose and finish, showing some sharp, sweetened pear and honeycomb. The pinot Blanc was dominant on the front and mid palate with melon, honeysuckle and almond. — 8 years ago
