Delicious! — 2 years ago
Brought back from winery. Cork fell apart but no issues. Blueberry coffee nose with bursting fruit and subtle tannins and vanilla. . Great mouthful. Would rate higher if less oak taste but delicious. WS said through 2022 but not over hill. — a month ago
Tart with sweeter after taste. Pear? Nectarine? Great for warm weather. Very drinkable. — 10 months ago
2021 vintage. The brand name refers to the first 100% Alvarinho vineyard planted by Soalheiro in 1974. Today, it is still made from over 30 years old vines, fermented mainly in stainless steel, with 15% in used oak barrels. White peach and pineapple, intertwined with a distinctive minerality. Crisp and juicy with an exemplary purity of fruit, brilliant acidity and a very long mineral finish. Abv. 12,5%. Terrific value too. Highly recommended. — a year ago

Very good but not the greatest tawny — 9 months ago
80% Baga with 20% Touriga National blended in. Only made in select vintages. Dark ruby color throughout. Bright and concentrated red fruit notes on both the nose and palate. Hints of red flowers, baking spices, minerals, garrigue and tobacco. Extremely long finish. Beautiful balance even at 18 years of age. Acidity and tannins have harmonized beautifully. Fresh tasting and still quite powerful. I do not understand why the Baga grape has such a poor reputation. Every Quinta de Foz de Arouce wine made from this grape that I have had the pleasure of tasting has been exceptional. — a year ago
