What a delicious bottle. Super expressive light yellow fruits- pear, kiwi, pawpaw, banana, also with a beguiling spiciness, almost a curry spice, and slight nuttiness reminiscent of clean sous voile wine. Psycho accessibility, perfectly integrated dosage. Long mineral finish. — 3 years ago
This one is their Merlot-Gamay version. So juicy! Idk if you’d call the vin d’ete wines a line (perhaps if they make a 3rd?), but thus far the 2 I’ve tried have been delicious. Crunchy fruits, bright acidity, and wet earth. This one has a touch of cocoa too. — 5 years ago
Very light. Astonishing for an American wine — 5 years ago
It took me a good 8 to 10 years into my wine tasting and discovery journey to start liking and appreciating oxydative wines (sous voile) from jura. But now I like them more and more every time. Something in the mouthfeel which is unmistakable...
The nose is very oxydative with walnuts, bruised apples... The palate is superlative. A huge acid drive, great width, a dusty, buttery mouthfeel, some subtle nutty touches along with apple, before a massive, spherical and buttery mid palate that powers up an extremely long finish with butter, nutty notes and a nice freshness that makes it really great. It's clearly not for everybody but it's very much for me 😅 — a year ago
Love this producer - red, white or dolce - very consistent & affordable. Straight forward Soave w/generous nose of golden apples, honeydew melon and lemons. Very tangy acidity tho bit austere on palate. Minerals come out which was great with our seafood pasta dish. Clean finish & Voile! — 4 years ago
Delightfully crisp with a fruity twist. $11 for a glass at La Voile. — 5 years ago
@delectable this is the Voile De Chardonnay
Not going to write notes. But, if you are bored with the ridged structure of Ca Chardonnay from the hotter climate and over use of 100% oak, try a good Jura Chardonnay. Many of the Jura examples are a blend of Savagnin & Chardonnay. This is 100% Chardonnay. It rides the fence of Ca Chardonnay & Burgundy with a lean into Ca Chardonnay without the horrible 100% new oak. It has the mineral structure of White Burgundy (Chassagne-Montrachet) and the feel of a lesser oaked well made Ca Chardonnay. — 2 years ago
Huge Pedro dry wine , tropical candy cake nose super light oxy flavors (sous voile ) but well balanced intention/intervention with great stony acid and length …gateway to sherry? — 3 years ago
