Best Wine at the Brisbane Exhibition in 2017. Glenn Goodall, the winemaker said “My all time fave Xanadu Chardonnay “. Nutty aromas of cashew and almond. Also nougat and grapefruit aromas. Grapefruit and other citrus on the palate. Very much more citrus than stone fruit. A better showing than my last Delectable note. Very good. — 5 months ago
Sour taste dry and deeply delicious — 2 years ago
Aged Shiraz from Grocery Outlet for $4. Nice dark color. Smells a bit like cola and grape juice concentrate. Flavors are classic for good Oz Shiraz. Smooth with plenty of fruit, but some complex licorice, chocolate and sun-dried tomato. This ain’t half bad. I’ll have to grab a bit more. — 3 years ago
Wonderful! Just enough tanins to be interesting, but not out of the way crazy in your face.
Great as a day drinker or as a accompaniment to pizza or something with grease.
Will be getting a number 3 soon! — 6 years ago
The best Cab Sav I’ve ever tasted 😱 — 6 years ago
Dense crimson. Slightly jammy nose. Black fruits. Medium-heavy cab of medium length. Lacks the finesse of cheribino/ xanadu et al. Fruit ladden front and mid palate. Dense tannic finish. Balanced enough and may be better in a few years but too jammy and not well enough integrated currently. D3 update: beautiful, seemless, jaminess gone. 94 (from 92-93) — 10 years ago
A pale lemon yellow in colour - quite youthful looking for a 12 year old Chardonnay. Aromatics of white peach - mealy and nutty notes, still with a nice acid cut at the finish. Drinking at its peak. Fuller than some Marg River Chardonnays I’ve had lately like Xanadu and Fraser Gallop. I have had richer Art Series Chardonnays but personally I love the balance in this. Tasted in May 2025 the first bottle. Had my 2nd last bottle on 20th September 2025 and it was utterly delicious. Stone fruit and dried pear character to the fore. I will have my last bottle in the coming summer or early 2026 and will make a fresh Delectable note. — a year ago

No formal notes. This is the regular Estate Chardonnay behind the prestige cuvée Heytesbury. Citrus lime notes with an overlay of vanillin French oak, probably too much but it works. On the delicate side - an excellent Chardonnay for the money. Had a 2nd bottle 100 weeks later on 22/4/25. Very citric with pink grapefruit bitterness. Initial aromas of almonds and a little cashew. I’ve had a spate of Citric lean Chardonnays from Margaret River lately like this and Xanadu Stevens Road. April 2025. 91 points. — 3 years ago
This wine is a steal. Great aroma— like a cab should have. Fruit forward but well balanced. Long delicious cab finish. I visited the winery a few years ago while birdwatching in Australia. Beautiful vineyard and chateau . Got this wine on last bottle site. Look for it at under $20. Thanks Rob for tip about last bottle. I have to visit some day!! — 6 years ago
I was surprised how nice this was. As good as a $50 premium wine. Finished after open for a week and it was silky smooth. — 6 years ago

Powerful aromas of blackberries and eucalyptus/menthol that come through on the palate as jammy and tingly... wow! Balanced acidity and tannins and a looong finish. Now this is a cab that will be liked in this house... None of the overly oaky milk chocolate smoothness of a Cali Cab. Bring on the steaks for Mom's birthday 💙🥲 — 3 months ago
