Wein-Erbhof Stein

Alfer Hölle 1900 Riesling 2015

Hell yes. Feinherb style. Perfect acid sugar balance. Beautiful white peach and apple blossom honey nose. Lime and lime zest and granite minerality on the palate. Seriously good. — 5 years ago

Alphonse Mellot

Edmond Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Very impressive sancerre...classic intense nose of grapefruit, lemon/lime, tart on palate, vegetal in background with some jalapeño and slight bell pepper...slight oak on this with baking spices and unusual for sancerre...acid medium + ....well balanced and perfect with homemade chicken teriyaki with veggies/bell peppers.. — 5 years ago

Cade

Estate Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Cherry cheesecake! It's overwhelming the nose on this thing. Very definitely cherry cheesecake with baked Graham cracker crust. Wife says "butterscotch". Piney notes on the exit. Fabulous.

Silver Oak

Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2001

Took 90 mins to open up. A little bramble fruit at front, then cinnamon, cocoa powder, oak, and spicy black pepper. Still tons of drying tannins at the finish. Yum. Not my standard Tuesday night sipper, but...#coronapocalypse so...why not? — 5 years ago

Our favorite Spring day is when we get plant the yard. Especially, during Covid-19 lockdown. Never more enjoyable.

Flowers by Sofia. Garden is me.

A great weather day and worthwhile doing a cheers with of one of our favorite N/V Rosé Champagne’s.

With the lockdown, I am running dangerously low on Rosé Champange. I might have to Soda Stream some Rosé wine soon.

All my many, many notes still apply.

Cheers all and Happy Easter if you celebrate it. 🍾🥂🍷 🐣 🐰

@Severn Goodwin that a lot of real estate to spend on tomatoes. With that much herb I’d grow some pizza with it. Impressive @David T !

Severn- you are sooo funny! We grow the hemp in the front yard, not with the other veggies 😉

Domaine Les Gryphées (Pierre Durdilly)

Morgon Gamay 2018

Wow. Fresh strawberry’s, pomegranate and rose petals. Bigger as most Morgan’s are but this was a surprise. Will get only better in the next few years. Hope I have the discipline. Go Gamey Go. ❤️ — 5 years ago

Happy Easter!!

2+ hour decant and could use more as it started to get very close to first growth quality towards the end. Not quite the 100pts. Wine Advocate gave it, but pretty darn close! Not sure it needs more of a description after that! Glad I have one more bottle to go. This is what wine should taste like!

Opus One

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2006

Intense, structured and muscular.
Rich black and blue fruits, cedar, excellent oak integration, silky tannins and a tremendously long and complex finish. Wonderful showing of 2006.
