Deep opaque ruby with hints of purple; medium plus intensity aromas of cooked black fruit and intense oak influence, blackberry jam, black plum, black cherry, cloves, cinnamon, cedar, vanilla; dry, medium plus acid, medium plus ripe tannins, medium alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus intensity flavors that are a bit more savory than aromas, dried black currant, dried plum; long finish, this wine is very concentrated and well balanced — 3 years ago

I greatly enjoyed this chardonnay that was exceptionally balanced — just oaky enough, not too oaky, for instance. But I actually preferred the Walter Scott I had drunk before, by a slight margin. It had a toastier, tobacco flavor profile whereas this one was more traditional. — 3 years ago
