Domaine Roulot

Les Meix Chavaux Meursault Chardonnay 2018

Tasted blind and brought by a very generous friend. These wines would be a splurge for almost anyone but this is one of the few wines at this price point that I’ve had that lives up to the hype. The perfect Chardonnay for my palate and probably the best Chard I’ve ever had up to this point. Just the right amount of reduction, fruit, and acid that was absolutely singing on the day it was opened. An experience I won’t soon forget. — a year ago

Clos Apalta

Valle de Apalta Red Blend 2019

Tremendous! Just the time to start fully enjoy and appreciate the quality it possess. Slight level of tannins left in there, which are easily smooth out after couple of swirls. On the nose it shows strong Cab Sauv and Merlot, but adorable chocolate note is quite dominant on the palate, followed by black berries and hint of spice. — a year ago

Cantina Ar.Pe.Pe.

Grumello Rocca de Piro Valtellina Superiore Nebbiolo 2015

When you’re handing out candy and chomping hoagies, what could be better than a fall inflected, dusty, Nebbiolo from AR Pe. Pe.
It hits all the corners, old enough but not too old. Firm acids, gentle tannins, reds, browns, seems perfect w the falling leaves. An Italian hoagie to partner, ah yes.

Château Cantemerle

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Elevated by the vintage. Over its arc, either lacked complexity or was defined by singular characteristics. Still, great showing. — a year ago

Didn’t have the complexity of the ‘15 or ‘16. Perfect for pairing with meat and cheese tray tonight. Good balance. M- acidity. 91-92

Domaine du Moulin (Hervé Villemade)

Cheverny Sauvignon Blanc-Chardonnay Blend 2021

2021. Really interesting citrus and mineral aromas and flavors. Not exactly lime, lemon, or grapefruit. More tropical. Great mouthfeel. Crisp finish. Paired really well with roast salmon. — a year ago

Château Pontet-Canet

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2003

A really nice vintage for this wine - not over ripe like some of the 03s. Tannins are softer and completely integrated after an hour of decanting. Time to open this vintage from your cellar!! — a year ago
