When it's just too hot for #redwine, go #orangewine! 🍊 super chilled, this lands bright and juicy in the mouth with a strong impression of fresh fruit salad. #vendemmia2013 #coenobium #italianwines #lazio — 8 years ago

Fantastic purity, the mouthfeel and aromas make me think it has a teeny bit of carbonic. This is a Lazio wine from vineyards south of Rome made from the Cesanese grape and puts fourth a wine here that is part Burgundy, part Gigondas, but very Italian in acids. Bright red raspberry and currant fruits, licorice, mushroom and spice.

This is. 2009 (!!!) #wine from Genzano, Castelli Romani. #Verdicchio e #Malvasia puntinata del #Lazio. Sapidity and acidity in perfect balance. A great vintage! — 10 years ago

Clean medium ruby color. Medium + intensity aromas of ripe rhubarb and red fruit (plums, red apple, cherry jam) some anis and hints of licorice, subtle secondary aromas of oak (coffee and mocha) and tertiary aromas and flavors of dried red fruit (dried cranberries and prunes). On the palate it’s dry with medium acidity, medium+ tannin and high alcohol. Medium+ body and medium+ finish. It’s riper and has more ripe dried fruit skin quality tannins than say a St. Emilion, but it’s delicious and will evolve in a decanter or in the bottle for the next 7/8 years. #merlot #lazio #italy — 4 years ago
