A blend of 80% Tempranillo, and the rest Grenache, Mazuelo and Graciano. Deep Ruby with ripe berry fruits, herbs and spice, aged for 3 years in oak and another 3 years in the bottle before release, Wow! On the palate ripe cherry, blackberries and ample dried fruits, well integrated oak and acidity with pepper, tobacco, toast oak and vanilla. Smooth with fine tannins and mineral notes, complex, long ending with earthy tones. Outstanding! Will continue to age.

Good... lithe and light but concentrated and beautiful at the same time. But needs much more time... aromas all mixed up right now. Cherries and a big deep fruity perfume that’s yet to gain much intricacy. But this will wind up being very good.

NOSE: cedar, green olives, sheep cheese, fresh herbs. Savoury.
TASTE: medium weight. Candied cherries, truffle, yeast, seafood, rocks, autumn leaves, dried flowers, orange peel, raisin, light roast coffee (I.e., strong acidity). Not my preferred style or range of flavors - yet superb! 94.

Fourth wine at Old Rioja Wine Dinner. The 2011 vintage is tasting beautifully, still powerful with subtle red fruit, and leather; oak integration at the beginning of its peak… Solid and consistent producer.
