Vines of Lilian-Ladouys are found a stone's throw from the Graves of Cos d'Estournel and the Chateau Lafite-Rothschild. Deep Ruby red color, with inky tones, blend of 62% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, aged in French oak for 15 months, aromas of black and blue fruit, cedar notes and herb spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with licorice and toasty oak flavors, full body with fine tannins, long finish ending with earthy oak mineral character. Will age over short term.

2020 vintage. Another great effort from the Lorenzetti family and estate manager Vincent Bache- Gabrielsen. A blend of 59% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. More refined than many in this appellation, this is already extremely drinkable with juicy fruit, ripe tannin and good mineral length. Terrific value too,a sleeper of the vintage. Abv. 13,5 %.

Not normally a red blend fan - but this is a exceptional as it’s smooth, satisfying and rich. Finishes well: Well balanced and completely structured as a great glass all around from initial nose to last finish on the palette!

Blend of primarily Merlot (50%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (45%) supported by small amounts of Petite Verdot (4%) and Cabernet Franc (1%) blended in. Dark ruby color with slight hints of purple. Aromas of graphite, blackberry, anise and forest floor. Dark berry and plum fruit flavors along with hints of mushroom, minerals and baking spices. The finish is a little tight. Medium-plus body and quite concentrated. Tannins are present but not overwhelming. This wine is quite good right now but will improve with bottle age. Outstanding value! I am looking forward to revisiting this one.

A bit young, but still a nice bottle. Fine grain tannin, dark fruit and a wilder black olive aroma/flavor, finish is subdued pencil lead

Nice structure provided by Cabernet in the blend. Smooth Tannins and ready to drink now. January 2024.

3.4. Dark purple Bordeaux, complex fruit at first, smooth at the end. Could probably use a few more years to age. On sale for $23.99. The 2018 was highly rated.

A lot to commend about this wine in accord with the other posters. It’s lovely and impressive, but somewhat lacking in character. Works well with grilled meat.
