Dom Pérignon
Brut Champagne Blend
Sift in the nose with light lime and limestone and floral notes. A nice integrated spine of acid. Great balance and delicious right now

Yellow in color with a light golden hue.
On the nose yeast, bread, lemons, earth, minerals, over ripen green apples and light grapefruits. Feels a little oxidized on the nose.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with lemons, over ripen citrus fruits, apples, bread, minerals, spices, herbs and earth.
Nice finish with light almonds.
Although this Champagne was not in its prime condition, it is always nice to drink and experience.
This 17 Year old champagne is a little oxidized for me, but I still enjoyed it. Showing great complexity at this point.
I paired it with a dish of layers of eggplant with ricotta, mozzarella and fresh basil.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
$350.

Popped and poured. Light straw color, lots of bubbles and energy. Notes of light citrus, stones, minerals, green apples, cut pears and some quince. Young and vibrant in the mouth. Great texture and a great bottle. I love the 04 vintage… need to find some more as my stash has quickly dwindled.

Feb 15th, 2021Great juice. Unfortunately no notes but this was young and vibrant, with a creamy mousse.

Oct 5th, 2020Light straw gold. Attention grabbing nose. Notes of bright citrus fruits, wet stones, some coriander and a little bread yeast. Nice energy and sneaky power in the mouth. Still young and can gain more complexity with more age.

Sep 9th, 2020The 2004 Dom Perignon Champagne is sinfully good at fifteen years of age. Showing off its downright sexy golden hue, the wine evolves quickly once in the glass displaying a dazzling array of aromatics, from orchard fruits to peat moss and toasty brioche as well as shades of salted Marcona almond that all nicely meld together. The palate yields a wonderful combination of richness and tension. There is a lovely ripe, almost unctuous texture to this aged Champagne. Flavors of salted macadamia nut, ripe pear, kumquat zest and shades of Shiitake mushroom with lighter biscuit undertones all combine brilliantly. This is a satisfying, downright hedonistic champagne that will be extremely long-lived. Drink 2019-2040- 97
