Nicely focused and well-delineated, with red fruit, earth notes and zippy acidity. Could have used a bit more flesh on the bones, but worked quite well with food. Very consistent, solid producer.

Crunchy berry fruit, black cherry, fine tannin, focused minerality and herbaceous earth notes all in wonderful harmony. Subtle bitter chocolate flavors on the finish. Another knockout from Brun.

Vintage 2017 / Great luncheonwine, with partridge paté, coeur de boeuf tomatos. Jean Paul Brun put the sunshine and enjoyment in the bottle. Elegance!

Dried flower, sour raspberry and candied citrus peel aromas. Deep and concentrated red berry fruit flavors. A bit of earth and tannin on the finish. A bit hot right out of the bottle but it settles in nicely with some aeration. Could use a toucg more (younger vines?) bottle age, but still a nice expression of the Grape and the region. Better with food.

The elegant side of gamay. At the same time light, and with many shades. Rich notes of raspberry, floral, herbaceous etc. 2017 is beautiful and can still deliver beautiful surprises in the coming years. Magnum format ideal, for parties with friends.

Picked this up a few months ago from the state store when I saw Louis Dressner. Seems different from the only other fleurie I’ve had. Lots of earth juice with raspberry.

Gorgeous ruby color in the glass. Wonderfully floral nose with a bit of spice, and wow, what mouth feel. Ripe fruits, mild acidity, and light to medium tannins. A little tart, but very drinkable.
