Fattoria La Valentina
Spelt Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
Ripe, open, and loamy, identifiable as a rustic Montepulciano. Broad and grainy in the mouth, with a some chocolately oaky notes, but they're not overwhelming.

bouquet of potent sweaty leather, blackberry, blueberries, clove/anise/wood, compost, brambles....good lord. this is amaro bitter. graphite with very fine tannins, medium light body... a little savory/salty charcuterie... but overall just massive earthy bitter black fruits kept within a deceptively smooth body. aerate!
