Prunotto
Occhetti Langhe Nebbiolo

An interesting translucent red in color. Raspberries strong on the nose, along with bark and a spice I can't name. Sweet and snappy on the palate. An outstanding summer red and great at $17.

Last night, early am flight back to Miami. Not going out with a big bang but instead one final solid bottle of Nebbiolo.
Lightly fragrant, high acidity, dry, 14 ABV.
NOTE: As a statistician, I suspect that my ratings while in Italy may have a built in +0.1 upward bias (e.g., an enhancement due to the experience of being there). With more data, I can test this via regression.

Also, a grocery store wine. Not bad but young and wet behind the ears. Medium plus acidity, Dry, medium plus bitter tannins. Short finish. Nothing striking about the nose or palate

Not getting a ton out of the nose. Might be just me tonight. Seems a bit hot via the nose (is 14%) but not getting much else. Has the thinness of a ruby Pinot Noir initial taste is not overpowering unlike fuller bodied wines. Very fruity. Plum, Raspberry.

Perfect Dinner red with personality however did not overwhelm Brudo Tortellini, Pea/Lemon Tagliatelle or Black Bass. Beautiful wine to end the meal with. 4.14.19 w/PG

Berries and dried roses. Delicate. Well-integrated tannins. Wish it was just chilled slightly.
