A beautifully complex wine. Surprising hints of light red fruits like strawberries and raspberry balanced with earth overtones. But so much deeper on the palate. Perfection. Acquired through Molesini wine club. — a year ago
Fantastic! Very much alive. Lovely cherry fruit, balsamic, roses, tannins are mostly resolved, but still present. — 3 years ago
Cork intact, decanted with some fine sediment for one hour. Looking like the color of tea and as clear as that too. Lots of umami and similar aromas of aged Madeira — 6 years ago
Herbal, raisins, dried fruits, very nice — 7 years ago
Definitely showing its age. Garnet color. Licorice and smoke. Migrating towards a port like finish. — 7 months ago
Ripe dark fruits , slight floral on the nose. Boysenberry, hint of honey, velvety, very late tannin , balanced body. Love it — a year ago

#AgedWineTuesday
Ruby in color with medium intensity and a wide reddish rim.
Earthy nose and medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Very dry on the palate and complex.
Showing red cherries, raspberries, tobacco leaf, earth, light oak, mildew, light green vegetables, herbs, forest floor, black pepper and black tea.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 13 year old Barolo is still drinking nicely, but will not get much better from this point on. Soft and elegant, but lost a lot of the fruits by now.
Not fully balanced at this point, but easy drinking and better with food.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
