Riserva Ducale Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend

Deep Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruit and earthy spice, aged for 24 months in stainless and large oak barrels, Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend, #17 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2025. On the palate flavors of cherry and plum with tobacco, floral and earthy flowery notes. Full-bodied, well balanced approachable tannins on a medium+ finish ending with fruit, espresso and a mineral character. Grab some Italian food and enjoy.

Very acidic. Sweet at first then slightly tart on the finish.

Classic Chianti, paired beautifully with a Steak Milanese (La Grotta’s famous steak “à la Roberto”).

Cherries, slight bite of CL. Good value from Costco.

Was pleasant with leftover couscous mergez and steak.

Classic example of Sangiovese. Cranberry acid. Dried cherry and herbs. Earthy.

maybe an off bottle but this was just so-so: not what i expected from WS #17 on Top 100

Pair great with the chicken penne alla vodka 

Cherry, herbs, dry chocolatey tannin. This was great with a steak camping in the Sawtooth mountains. 90!
