Dinner party. Very busy cooking. No formal notes. Soft, fragrant. Composed. Entering its prime drinking window.

Truncated dinner party notes. This ‘18 is uncommonly open and friendly for a Storybook Zin, which typically take years to unfurl. Really nice ripe flavors and perfect balance.

2018 vintage. Old-school zin. Lip-smacking with both fruit and structure in balance. Will easily provide and care for a decade+. Dense medium-heavy body with massive dark/black fruit components. Dunno why Zin ever strayed and became unfaithful to this style. Those cheaters have nothing but regrets.

Delicious as always. Had this with Steak au Poivre and it really hit. Thanks to my brother for this gem. My fav Zin winery.

Opened up a few ho-hum bottles and really wanted something that popped and would complement my smoked ribs: this did the trick, see previous note. So dense so generous so polished - just textbook Zin

2nd best zin maker in CA.

Exactly what I hoped for: generous, sensuous, brimming with Classic Zin character, this has many years to go, but still delivers now.
