All shock and awe upon initial pop but eventually settles into a lovely groove of chalk, citrus, fresh green apple, biscuit dough. Super fine and effortlessly powerful and balanced. Another five years would be of substantial benefit. Give it some breathing room if you can’t hold off.

So glad I have some of this - compelling from the start, evolved nicely away from the heavier kneaded richness into something more linear. Outstanding given the vintage

Chalky first note which then transforms into yellow ripe fruit calling apples with some tart fruits. Long finish and high acidity. Exquisite.

Nose of brioche and buttered toast with lemon curd jelly, wet slate, dry chalk, cardamom in the background. Everything high toned. Attack is bracing, lemon juice and some green apple. Acid massive. Mid palette has lemon apple concentrate with the dose evident. Finish is all lemon candy but with malic acid. Long and focused. This is a beautiful, tightly wound champagne that will peak in at least 5-10 more years. Fun right now with food!
