2021 vintage. Last tasted 12.1.25 (8.7). Medium body. Smokier nose and slightly underwhelming but still better than the last visit a month ago. 1.2.26. — 6 days ago
2019 vintage. Don’t come across this producer often but this example is firing on all cylinders currently. Not as oaky as many C-M’s and truly in a great spot now. No rush to crush with exceptional balance. Unfortunately, last bottle. Will see if I can rummage around and drum up a few more bottles. 1.2.26. — 6 days ago
2019 vintage. Last tasted 11.6.23 (9.3.) and 2.23.23 (9.0). PNP and tasted after 3 mins and 30 minutes. Medium body. Forward cherry and plum throughout. Mid-palate and back end spices started to show up after a spell. Reticent tannins initially but they started to wake up at the half hour mark. Coulda used an aerating decant but was lazy. The nice price for just above entry-level Margaux and three cases left so we’ll have it a while. Suspect it would have garnered a 9.3 with that decant. 12.27.25 — 12 days ago
2023 vintage. Light-medium/medium body. Fairly aromatic with oodles of red berries and cracked black pepper at the onset. The cracked black pepper gave way rather quickly to white pepper and white sage. The raspberry, strawberry, cranberry and boysenberry jam kept on rocking. After one hour open, a slightly astringent but pleasant, Mormon Tea plant + black tea influence + a little pomegranate tartness buttressed by some clove notes. Really really pretty like the previous vintage (10.30.24-9.0) but with much more stuffing. The 2021 effort (6.21.23-9.5) was fab as well but bigger, earthy smoky, heavier and without the delicate intricacies of this 2023 vintage. This is currently drinking like it has 5-7 years of age under the belt. 1.6.26. — 2 days ago
2023 vintage. Medium body. Harmonious melange of green apple and pear with light-medium oak influence and complimentary acidity. Tremendous QPR and the nice price for this producer. 1.3.26. — 5 days ago
2023 vintage. From a 375ml bottle. Fairly fruity off the bat and medium/medium-heavy body. Came back to revisit after an hour and mouthfeel dropped down to medium body with expansive tea and earth flavors. Nice 1st impressions. 12.28.25. — 11 days ago
2021. Cheap chicken and unsurprisingly threadbare. 1.4.26. — 4 days ago
2020 vintage. With @Beth Novak . Decanted and tasted after one hour. Medium body. Nose practically leapt out of the glass with plenty to discuss. Flavors a bit more subdued but definitely present. Just enough back-end, tannic presence to hold court. This should be absolute dynamite in 3-5 years. Initial visit a bit over two years ago (9.5) and was more explosive but will cede that to the last impression getting more air time. Said then that this was my fave since the 1991 vintage and sticking by that. 1.2.26. — 5 days ago
2015 vintage. Decanted (a little sed) and tasted after one hour. Medium heavy body. Some chunkiness in play with the famous Eisele Vineyard power consistently pushing forwards with zero letup/flagging. Slightly less complexity than anticipated based on a few visits over the years and the one hour open/decant boundary. Maybe it would have improved slightly but do not feel the presentation of flavors would have necessarily been more attractive down the road. Based on this effort, would probably look to hit again in 2030. 12.28.25. — 11 days ago

2021 vintage. Last tasted 10.8.25 (9.2). Light-medium bod this visit vs medium bod previous go round. Fantastic nose still redolent of dark fruit-infused graphite, blood, night time riverbank mud and dark chocolate-covered cherry. Finish currently that artificial, grapey cough syrup mixed with espresso...a veritable ayahuasca potion flavor (don't ask me how I know) and fairly bitter. Wine all about the approach and handshake vs the actual transaction but still very interesting and worth the super affordable price. Not the biggest BDX so you could easily bounce into Rhône or Burgundy or Bandol to keep the party going. 1.6.26. — 2 days ago
