2015 vintage. Light-medium body. Pretty cherry, cedar and cigar/tobacco notes and fairly flashy now. Could possibly get better but tasting like it is at/very near a personal performance apex as we speak. A decant or two-three hours open before a full, frontal assault is helpful. Should dance like this for another 10-12 years. Super-classy and a tremendous QPR. Picked up a case at a resto cost of $68 a btl. If you're able to source this retail for $120 or less, do it. You won't regret doing so. — 2 days ago
1990 vintage. This was the start to the weekly tasting day with the reps. A fave guest brought this in. Was summoned to open it immediately despite having just strolled in. Grabbed the Durand and pounced. Didn't get the opportunity to see the fill but the foil, label and cork were all pristine (too little cork saturation for a 3+decade-old bottle). Screamed château reconditioned. Opened but not decanted. Good color. Great nose immediately. Tasted after 15 mins and 45 mins open. Tasted around noon but bottle needed to have been opened at prior midnight. Showed pretty well, however, with the delicate intricacies this wine is renowned for. Would have presented better with more air time but you can only control so much. 01.29.25. — 3 days ago
2021 vintage. Stylistically consistent. 01.30.25. — 2 days ago
2014 vintage. Drinking as a more traditional St. Estèphe here vs lusher, newer vintages. In a great place currently and showing well. Not ridiculously expansive and otherworldly but doesn't need to be in the mid-$40's resto cost. Checks so many boxes. Leaner, chiseled and durty. Classic Stèphie. 1.30.25. — 2 days ago
2019 vintage. Medium body. Plenty of frontal palate richness. Middle currently MIA. Finish is loamy and plush with some espresso bean. Wanted a bit more dark plum structure but wasn’t forthcoming. Maybe in a few. 01.29.25. — 3 days ago
2021 vintage. This is a special, straight outta SBC effort that only got bottled in the 375ml format. Graham obviously couldn't call it Auslese, so he called it "4USL353."Haha. Total cheat code. Picked up two cases. Phenomenal. 01.29.25. — 3 days ago
2014 vintage. Last tasted 04.20.22 (9.5). Still tight but behind all the subterfuge, clouds, white lies, deception and smoke, there is a fantastic show slowly being assembled. All the performers are there and you've watched plenty of the rehearsals. Another 8-10 years will likely find this in the 9.6 and maybe 9.7 zone when the curtain finally rises. Built for future speed. If you've got the time and ca$hi$h, put a case aside and start tapping in 2035. This goes places wine doesn't have a right to. It's not asking for permission. 01.30.25. — 2 days ago
2016 vintage. Second label with plenty of stuffing to warrant attention. Unexpected passenger fruit aboard alongside the expected tannic cargo. Great value if you can source it. Less than $30 resto cost and built to drink now or in a decade+. 01.30.25. — 2 days ago
1989 vintage. Opened but not decanted. Just got a (generous) side sample of this as I was entrenched with the weekly wine rep tastings. Tasted after 30 mins and one hour after opening. Definitely bretty (as expected) for the first tastes but that mostly dissipated by the end of the glass. Light-medium body with mostly bowed tannins initially. Longer it remained in the glass, the more the tannins came out to frolic. Still plenty of structure, fruit and front-palate intrigue (usually hidden/buried by tannins). Not improving at this point but-depending on storage and/or bottle size-still more than viable and deserving of massive respect. 01.29.25. — 3 days ago

2018 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 15 mins and one hour. Beautifully feminine and expressive nose leapt out of the decanter. Medium body. Nice balance of dark fruits and tannins but slightly disjointed. A bigg Napa vintage so either another decade or a three hour decant would seem to be the ticket here. 01.31.25. — 20 hours ago
