Very nice super Tuscan, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Easy to drink and pares well with pasta, red and white meat and a variety of dishes. Ruby color with pleasant nose and taste of dark cherry. Drank in April 2026. Smooth. — 2 months ago

2021 vintage.
Sangiovese 60 % and Cabernet Sauvignon 40 % from Pitigliano estate in Maremma, Tuscany with a southwest exposure.
Owned by Tommasi family since 1997.
Rompicolla is ‘breakneck’ but means tremendously steep and slippery slope…a risky adventure.
Soils are deep in volcanic tuff.
Stainless steel ferment and matured 1 year in 65 HL Slavonian oak casks.
Red cherries, raspberries, savoury spice, and floral.
Medium bodied but fresh and clean on the finish.

Another solid vintage of this Teroldego (90%) Syrah (10%) blend. Purple/ruby color with a dark core. Fragrant aromas of jammy black and blue fruit, dark cocoa and black pepper. Flavors of black berry/plum/raspberry fruit, blueberries, black licorice and fresh herbs. Long lasting and very earthy finish. Medium bodied and bright acidity. Slightly chewy (well integrated) tannins and relatively low (12.5%) alcohol. Nicely complex and well structured. Much riper tasting (probably warmer) vintage than in prior years. Such excellent quality for the price. Thanks for the taste, Chris B! — a day ago
