This Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend is starting to drink nicely now. Elegant and nicely balanced, but still feels very tight.

Earthy with nice complexity, and very Left Bank Bordeaux in style.

Still very young and not as approachable. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

Needs a few hours to open up properly, and a good food wine.

A blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Carmenere, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Aged for 20 months in (70% new) French oak barrels.

2021. This big, fruity, oaky (vanilla) wine does not exhibit 16% abv and doesn’t really have a tannic bite. Used to be one of my annual buys, but not any longer. Saw it in the wine store and they had two bottles left on discount to make room for the 2022 vintage. Since I do like this wine with grilled steak, I picked one up and the crowd enjoyed it. I did too with my last bites of ribeye. — 2 months ago
