Deep violet color. Heady, spice-accented red and dark berry aromas, along with suggestions of smoky bacon and licorice. Juicy and lithe on the palate, offering bitter cherry and black raspberry flavors that put on weight as the wine opens up. Shows fine definition and spicy cut on a long, juicy finish that features gently gripping tannins and a lingering suggestion of cracked pepper. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, December 2022)

Great freshness and balance. Beautiful red fruit and earth on the nose. What you smell is what you taste, complemented by perfect acid and structure. Just the slightest undertones of “green”. — 7 months ago

This is for the les forcieres sparkling 100% Pinot noir @delectable Quite rich broad and oxidative. Could have used time or air but may have gotten even more oxy qualities with either? Nice length and minerality. — 2 years ago
A quiet tutorial in balance. Texture is pillowy and fatty and slips into some aromatics of white flowers and pear, flavors of peach and blanched almonds, and an exit where the acid finally shows up - but right on time. Think about biting into a pear and tasting the tart skin only at the very end. That’s this. — 6 years ago
