2024 spring. Good, classic Barbaresco — 2 months ago
“Ana’s-Cëtta” is the white #Nascetta wine by @elviocogno who helped bring the variety back from near extinction in the 1990s in the commune of Novello, #Langhe, #Piedmont.
The 2022 delivers aromas of honeysuckle, white peach, verbena and Mediterranean herbs. Apple, pear, quince and pineapple flavors then come into play. This quickly followed by a waxy texture, balanced by lime zest, with notions of crushed minerals on the finish.
The winery suggests it is “ideal as an accompaniment to vegetable dishes, white meats, raw fish, oysters and creamy cheeses.” Maybe not as ideal, but paired with rigatoni, sausage and fennel allowed some contrast to expose and heighten many of the sensations…BRAVO! — 8 months ago
Good color, mild nose, acidity is a little overwhelming other palate tastes.
Tanins are still noticed.
Much better after a couple of hours, the acidity fades and the wine is balanced. — 10 months ago
Very nice & well balanced old world style at 10 years of age. Enjoy now or hold. — 7 months ago
Fresher & more floral vs the ‘17s & ‘18s.
Fresh dark sweet cherries, an uplifting, fresh floral note, just a hint of mossy undergrowth. Pure, light, juicy.
Juicy on the palate as well, mid weight, bright acidity, light & juicy tannins, crunchy red fruit. More balanced and less alc vs prior vintages.
Joyfully drinkable yet with quite some character & nice depth, too.
They really nailed it in 2019! What a delight! Need to stock up!! — 3 years ago

This is just so good. Amazing color. Translucent ruby. So alluring, elegant, bit of structure picks as it opens. Punches so far above its weight — 9 hours ago
