Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 1533

One of our favorites. Mark and I enjoyed it with a movie night. I would love to have it again! Perfectly balanced. Full of flavor but not overpowering. — 14 days ago

Riserva Pipparello Montefalco Rosso Sangiovese Blend 2017

Wow. Like Chianti, but not. Black cherry and plum, balsamic and spice. Umami. Long finish. Perfect with Vivace carry out. Thanks Pearly Baker for the great selection. — 3 years ago

André Perret

Clos Chanson Condrieu Viognier 2018

An over the top experience. Starts with vanilla blossom (noticeable new oak $$) and then the highest floral concentration I have ever experienced. It’s like sticking your nose in a fresh jar of super floral honey. Botrytis is obvious but it intensifies the concentration and adds that surprise element when you find that the wine is bone dry. The palate is in balance, with delicate florals, a touch of bitterness and plenty of stone minerality to compensate for the low acid. You have to turn your brain on for this one. — 4 years ago

Château de Beaucastel

Hommage à Jacques Perrin Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2000

This was my rating 6 years ago. A perfect 10. Now, I’d say (and thanks Spinal Tap) an 11! Thanks Lenny for an awesome dinner:
The nose immediately established this CDP as royalty, and the palate followed accordingly. Silky smooth, big and round. Black fruit, Asian spice, black truffles. Pure as heck, layered with so much going on while your nostrils are sending your brain unseen before signals of red flowers, bacon frying and fairy dust. Should not have been better than the ‘01 but it was unanimous winner blind.
