Les Cailloux (Lucien et André Brunel)

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2018

Blend of 70% Grenache, 17% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah & 3% Cinsault, deep Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits, oak and floral spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with oak, herb spice and floral notes. Wine was complex and elegant with fine smooth tannins, long fruit and spicy finish. Very Nice! — 21 hours ago

Stunning, really. Still fresh and fruity, but with impeccable balance. Wish I had more! — 6 months ago

Châteauneuf-du-Pape White Rhône Blend 2023

Wowza this is good. 80% Roussanne, and it shows. I love that grape. Such richness, and though the acidity is low, there’s great mineral tension here. So rich and enveloping. — 7 months ago

Côtes du Rhône Villages Red Rhône Blend 2007

Opened the day before with half the bottle remaining. The 2007 CdR Villages pours a deep purple color with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated dark brambles, red and purple flowers, open pasture land, olives, some black pepper, leather and organic earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+. This is an impressive wine despite the rather modest designation, especially when you consider it’s nearly 18 years old! Then again, the talent behind this wine should yield a solid wine (Pegau & Cailloux). Drink now though it could easily see its 25th birthday if you must hold one longer. — 4 months ago

Méthode Classique Rosé Blend

Delicate notes of strawberry and citrus with undercurrent of toasty minerality, Balanced acidity with tasty, crisp finish. Paired nicely with chicken thighs roasted with tarragon and onions. Bubbles fizzle out a bit more quickly than with other sparkling wines, but still tastes great with minimal bubbles. — 3 months ago

La Germine Côte-Rôtie Syrah 2022

Nose: darker Syrah fruit. Bit of sauvage. Lilacs.

Palate: licorice. Good acidity. Pretty acidic.
