This certainly had multiple primary aromas and flavors. So not too simple. Easy drinking and approachable. Good. — 4 months ago
@Delectable Wine please could you update your data with the wines from Racina Wine from Calabria, once you did detect the name on the label, but i wondered how it works..why couldn't i re-rate the same wine easily? Why doesn't the app add the newly detected labels on its own database?
Anyway..just wondering...i love this app!!
This wine is
Entropia from Racina Wine
Greco bianco 90%
Zibibbo(moscato di Alessandria)10%
9 days maceration and semi carbonic fermentation
Vineyards are in Villa S.Giovanni on a site called Costa Viola with a marvellous view on the strait that separates Sicily from Calabria
You would aspect big, warm, alcoholic wines, but nothing could be farther from the truth
All the wines made from these guys have as primary requisite the drinkability, the fun, the easy nature
Entropia is no exception
Elegant and clean nose for this orange wine
The zibibbo gives extra layers of scents
It's long and...not enough...you need a second bottle and that is why some labels are bottled in 1l formats
12%, it goes without saying the production is ridiculous, i think 800 btls it says on the tiny back label
..not sure about the vintage..there must be a legal reason for not being on it, but i reckon L21 on it means 2021
I will try to contact them for more details — 3 years ago
Wine Shoe rose. Maybe Sept 2022 — 4 years ago
Lovely drop. I like that is unexpectedly delicious. Bold sweetness but not overpowering. Lightly sparkling. — 5 years ago
Such an amazing wine! Tastes like it was aged in an amphora...salty, mineral, tannic. Really sensational — 5 years ago

LOVE! - sauv/chard blend, had with aps — 4 years ago
I got told Mantonico( this is 100% mantonico)was the most interesting white variety in Calabria and i must agree
It has an intense nose of honey, fruit and mineral
It has its balance and a good length
Potential to age a few years easily
Good freshness
Label only produced in 2019 in perhaps a couple of thousands of bottles
I'd buy this again for sure — 4 years ago
65% guarnaccia bianca 35% mantonico bianco
I am going hard local and i must admit i am enjoying it even though i know already i will never find gold in the glass
A touch aromatic perhaps, granny smith apple, sage, thyme, iodine.
Not elegant maybe, but definitely enjoyable
Fairly long
I am happy with my little discoveries
I am meeting young guys that believe in the territory
With taralli and eggplant pure with chilli it was spot on — 5 years ago
Ippolito 1845 – Mare Chiaro Cirò Bianco 2025 – Cirò DOC, Calabria, Italy 🇮🇹
Overview
A joyful expression of Calabria’s flagship white grape, 100% Greco Bianco. Produced near the Ionian Sea, Mare Chiaro beautifully captures the region’s coastal identity with vibrant freshness, saline minerality, and Mediterranean character. Far from a conventional white wine, it offers both remarkable drinkability and a fascinating glimpse into one of Italy’s oldest wine regions.
Aromas & Flavors
Bright aromas of citrus, white peach, tropical fruit, white flowers, and fresh herbs lead into flavors of lemon zest, pear, stone fruit, and subtle saline minerality. The finish is crisp, savory, and distinctly reminiscent of a sea breeze.
Mouthfeel
Light to medium-bodied with lively acidity and a beautifully balanced texture. Refreshing, mineral-driven, and wonderfully clean, it glides effortlessly across the palate before finishing with lingering coastal freshness.
Food Pairings
Perfect with grilled octopus, oysters, seafood pasta, fried calamari, ceviche, grilled fish, or fresh burrata with herbs.
Verdict
A delicious coastal white that overdelivers in personality and originality. Fresh, expressive, and endlessly drinkable, it showcases why Calabria deserves far more attention among lovers of distinctive Italian white wines.
Did You Know?
Greco Bianco has been cultivated in Calabria for well over two millennia, with roots tracing back to the arrival of Greek settlers in southern Italy during the era of Magna Graecia (“Greater Greece”). Today, it remains the historic backbone of Cirò Bianco and one of Italy’s oldest continuously cultivated indigenous white grapes.
🍷 Personal Pick
This bottle was simply fun from the very first sip. I loved its coastal personality, saline finish, and the way it kept inviting another glass without ever becoming heavy. It’s the kind of wine I enjoy pouring blind because almost everyone asks the same question afterward: “What was that? Can I have another glass?” That’s always a great sign. Cheers! — 2 days ago
Quite high vineyard of pinot bianco to show that this variety can do well in Calabria too.
Well done Dino!!
A rich wine, i believe it has very little maceration if any or perhaps a bit of lees contact rather.
It's fleshy, queffable and quite long.
By the way it's been the third time I visited the cellar in High Country of Calabria and i just love that part of the world where people try to tame the nature, but they just can't make it. — 3 years ago
#eatalyvino #grecobianco — 4 years ago
Unfiltered, not clarified, spontaneous fermentation
Golden colour
Quite oxidative nose
Almondy, the fruit is kind of baked, perhaps an apple tart, a bit of spices and honeyed
It's a bit warm with its 14.5%
50/50 mantonico and malvasia
It could improve, but i am not convinced
It feels like i wanna be, but i am not — 4 years ago
@Delectable Wine Again mainly Pecorello (not Pecorino)
Consistent notes with my previous tasting, but less alcohol felt, more balanced body and more pleasant — 4 years ago
Ciro Doc Bianco paired very well with beef agnolotti. — 5 years ago
Ceccherini Cristiano
This vineyard got burnt by an accidental (??) bushfire last year and it will take a while to have back in production.
We are on an isolated patch on the Pollino mountain, in or just next to the National Park.
This is a blend of Trebbiano and Malvasia
Mesmerising colour
Very appealing mineral
Long and easy like most of L'Acino wines are Perhaps I slightly prefer the Chora Bianco, but for the prices we have a very high standard — 22 days ago
