A great expression of chenin blanc. The nose is honeyed and flowered but there is a waxy touch to it too. Some very shy notes of honeydew and kaki too. The palate is bone dry and shows a great acid drive as is very typical for the varietal, some matter and some width, a good grip, some honeyed touches and some apricot notes too. Gorgeous and silken, the 2019 Generation Dix-Neuf is a ball of beautiful, silky, concentrated Pinot Noir. Savory and smoky, it seems effortless, although it's clearly been anything but based on the impeccable quality. It caresses the palate. There's intensity and density here but no weight.
