My last bottle of the 13s. It has been about 4 years, and this wine has now hit its stride. In my previous notes the wine was unbalanced. Now, with more age, and a 45 min decant, the wine is wonderfully balanced. Big ripe dark fruit, softened yet still powerful tannins, well matched acidity. Great mouthfeel and nice finish. Deep, Rich, and elegant. The wine actually feels more viscous than normal, and it’s just heavily perfumed and flavored and thick in your mouth. It absolutely feels like chewing on a handful of fresh blue and red fruit mixed together.
