15 Years Old Calvados

Like a deep, spicy apple cider, full of punchy acidity and fragrant, fresh fruit notes that make this a truly distinctive experience. — 6 years ago

Calvados 1968

Near perfection....smooth butterscotch, carmel, cream with just enough complex apple and cinnamon spice on the nose. Medium body with a finish that lasts for minutes. My wife’s birth year and it’s nearly as impressive as she is. Worth every single penny!!! — 8 years ago

Réserve de Semainville Pays d'Auge 25 year Calvados Apple Brandy

Insane Calvados from the best in Normandy coming from a blend of 25-30 year old brandy. Toffee, baked apple, almond, citrus fruit, tropical fruit that has you wanting more. Such a complex spirit. — 9 years ago

Reserve Calvados du Pays d'Auge

Exactly what I wanted, top shelf, beautiful apple floral, fruit, bark… a lot was captured in the distilling.

Nose,: Large, bright, clean, fresh apple, sweet cider, apple tree bark, rocks, soil.

Palette: Palette cleansing alcohol, followed with notes of fresh cider Apples, apple wood and oak, back palette predominate.

Medium finish

Used for in onions with light crushed anise seed for Moroccan spiced brisket, Apple & Honey Sangria, apples & date stuffed challah, as well as enjoyed on its own.

This finished in Cognac barrels. It offers a much drier expression focused on wood characteristics. Savory and firm this would be good with some pate or foie. — 4 years ago

Privilège Calvados du Pays d'Auge 18 ans d'Age

Happy fall! Calvados remains the best after dinner drink, in my somewhat humble opinion, especially on a crisp autumn evening. — 5 years ago

Domaine de Semainville

Apéritif Normand Pommeau de Semainville

As a big fan of Camut’s calvados, this was a ton of fun to try. First time having anything like this. At only 17% abv, much more drinkable after a long meal than calvados. Beautiful deep caramel apple nose. A bit lighter if you’re expecting a brandy, which this is clearly not - but really very nice (and perfect for the fall and alongside an apple crumble!) — 6 years ago
