It took about an hour for this to come around. Primary with little nuance yet I thought the balance was spot on. — 3 months ago
Might be a smidgen past its prime. However, still drank pretty decently. This may be my first wine to include the grape Palomino. I always thought it was a horse. Carlisle known for its Zins primarily put together a really interesting blend. Glad I tried it. — 25 days ago
Dark berries are present to the nose. Hints of leather and tobacco and the spice was really brought out with some baby back ribs. Had this last about a year and a half ago and it’s still living up to the first time I tasted it. — 2 months ago
This showed so well last night! — a month ago
Love Carlisle and this is a great wine with a very floral nose of blackberry and pepper. Lush and long finish, well done Mike! — a month ago
Wow. Amazingly wonderful- still - at 17 years young. Tannins and fruits still doing their jobs in harmony. An excellent example of this varietal -done by this legendary producer. — 3 years ago

Juicy raspberry fruit with surprising structure and depth, great acidity, very long finish, needs some aging, classic Russian River Zinfandel. Current release, at Bedrock pickup party tasting these wines. — 12 days ago
