Castillo De España

Marqués de Murrieta

Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial Rioja Tempranillo Blend 1970

This bottle had been cellared since release and cork was in near pristine condition. At 54 years old, it remains a deep garnet/purple and now with loads of sediment. Classic Rioja character with dried black cherry, toasted coconut, cedar, dried flowers, leather and earth. The structure remains intact and the acid is still pretty fierce. This should continue to age very well if conditions are good. — 7 days ago

Cune Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2017

Early picking for the ‘17 vintage, and it shows with fresh acidity lifting the well extracted black fruits. Still quite primary at year 7.
Very good value for a Gran Reserva.

Reserva Cune Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2017

Dark violet-red color with aromas of fruit, spices and sweet notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, blueberry and plum with cacao, vanilla and black pepper. Firm tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, spice and herb mineral character. Drinking ok now! — 21 days ago
