Flowery on the nose, slightly earthy but dominating red fruit and a touch oaky. The palate is pretty nice, medium bodied with nice dosage of acidity and fine grained tannins, the finale is nice with red fruit and a touch though of dryness. Pretty good despite the youth, preferred the 2016 and 2014 drank recently, but very glad to have many bottles in the cellar that will sit a few years. 90-91 for now.
— 4 years ago
Fruity, medium bodied, easy to drink. Pairs well with meat and cheese.

I discovered this fine Syrah on AF — 5 years ago
Surprisingly good, and as clearly northern Rhone syrah as any wine can be. It has the strong fruit and the floral complexity, but remains smooth on the palette and well balanced. — 4 years ago

This is such an utterly brilliant wine. Just beyond. Nose is the most vivid olives and gorgeous blackberry fruit and granite infused love. 9.8 nose. Utterly captivating. Palate is rich and ripe but teeming with granitic energy. Unreal inner mouth olive aromas, and just insanely juicy and painfully concentrated. Unreal length and I only showing 10% of itself and we are at 9.8. I will be back. Wow. Unreal finesse now and length. There is a dark evil to this wine that adds to the overall vibe. Outrageous florals now an hour in. Really meaty element now as well. So supple and silky but firm structure, minerals and granite on the finish. Tannins getting more imposing but ripe and sweet. — 17 days ago
