Les Jardins Philosophiques Petit Courbu Petit Manseng 2017

9.2

Fragrant nose with peach, pineapple, orange peel, lime, honey, and chrysanthemum. Medium to full body. Vibrant and intense, soften by creamy texture which is surprising given that this did not see any oaks. Hint of sweetness but dry. Great winemaking.

Tannat Blend 2011

Find this to be delightful. Great fruit nose, good mix of red and black fruit. The taste is complex, very fruit forward but with lots of herbs, flowers, and caramel notes. Good acidity, and overall well-balanced. Good linger on the finish. — 7 years ago

Didn’t know they made anything other than dry wines with this grape.

Vieilles Vignes Madiran Tannat Blend 1995

Dark purple garnet in the glass. Raspberry and leather on the opulent nose. Medium plus acidity surrounds the palate of raspberry, leather, and cassis. The aggressive tannins of youth have been time-tamed down to an approachable medium (we’re twenty-two years on, after all). Drink up! It’s delicious! Merci, Mssr. Brumont. — 7 years ago
