Vintage 2001| Proof of a long life for riesling. The colour was really brown, mahony brown. Smell with a very little petrol, more honey. That honey is also present in the taste. Good balanced. This wine was honey in a glass with a touch of acidity to balance it out. Notes of peaches and honey on the palate. It was fantastic with buffalo wings, which makes sense because Gewurztraminer translates to ”spicy grape.” — 7 years ago

Surprisingly sweet with honey, lychee, ginger, honeysuckle, and succulent peach. Quite marvelous Alsace deliciousness. Went with my chicken tikka masala very well. Sweet matched the spices. A slight bit of that Gewürtz pepperiness at the end but only noticeable after it’s opened up a bit. — 8 years ago
