Château Prieuré De Blaignan

Domaine du Prieuré

Les Lavières Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2018

2018 vintage. Medium-body. Needs another 3-4 years to drop the bully attitude and false bravado, revealing a delicate and gentle soul beneath. Will likely pick up a case next week as the pricing is pretty good for this 1er Cru and effort. 01.09.25. — 6 days ago

Blanc du Château Prieuré-Lichine White Bordeaux Blend 2023

An unconventional white blend from a 4th Growth Chateau on the left bank of Bordeaux.
70% Sauv Blanc, 30% Sémillon, provides a feast of Quincy and lemon peel aromas and flavors. Light and refreshing, young and lively. Dry, and some mineralized mouthfeel. Less than a 1,000 cases produced. Lovely!

Savigny-lès-Beaune Chardonnay 2020

Medium gold color. Aromas of apricot, passion fruit and orange blossoms. Superb Chardonnay! Silky smooth, full of stone fruit flavors, orange notes and a crisp finish. — 2 months ago

Confidences de Prieuré-Lichine Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

Very enjoyable left bank bottling for $35 on the shelf, if not pretty closed. Decanted for 2+ hours and was just starting to reveal itself, still somewhat shy after 4+. Blackberry, stewed mulberry, earth, coffee grounds, garden, and spice. Not overly ripe or concentrated with a subtle bitter balance. Curious to see what day 2 is like. Good value candidate for cellaring though I wouldn’t hate a bit more acidity. — 22 days ago

Le Prieuré Hautes Côtes de Nuits Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2017

Beautiful color. Fresh, bright, juicy with nice acid. Red berries, flower petals, mulberry, little bit of forest floor and crushed rocks. Always had a good bottle from this producer. — 2 months ago
