Classic St Joseph. Savory herbs, meaty, black olives. — 4 months ago
Experienced this producer last year and wasn’t a fan but everyone deserves a second chance….Mr Prieure is redeeming himself…..Sommelier was a big fan too, recommending this over some other big names…..tasting notes: very light and delicate, scents of pickled cucumber (yes, really) and rhubarb. Not our usual deep berry concentration, this one is much more sophisticated, and deserving of the occasion and venue! — 15 days ago

Opened four hours prior to service and decanted for 45 minutes before returning to the bottle. The 1982 pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with moderate stating of the tears. There remained some sediment despite being decanted. On the nose, the wine is vinous with an intriguing combination of ripe and desiccated (mostly) fruits: cassis, brambles, green bell pepper, leather, tobacco and a hint of baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is elegant, refined and satisfying. This is a classic expression of Margaux and certainly at peak. Sublime. Drink now through 2032+. — 13 hours ago
