Very enjoyable left bank bottling for $35 on the shelf, if not pretty closed. Decanted for 2+ hours and was just starting to reveal itself, still somewhat shy after 4+. Blackberry, stewed mulberry, earth, coffee grounds, garden, and spice. Not overly ripe or concentrated with a subtle bitter balance. Curious to see what day 2 is like. Good value candidate for cellaring though I wouldn’t hate a bit more acidity. — a month ago

Classic and proper Margaux. Lacks a bit of mid palate. — a month ago
Deep ruby color. Aromas of dark fruit, leather, menthol and baking spices. Black cherry and black raspberry on the palate with hints of dark chocolate, forest floor, black licorice and coffee. Intensely fruit forward finish. Soft tannins and creamy texture. Thanks for the sample, Kase! — 4 months ago

2018 vintage. Medium-body. Needs another 3-4 years to drop the bully attitude and false bravado, revealing a delicate and gentle soul beneath. Will likely pick up a case next week as the pricing is pretty good for this 1er Cru and effort. 01.09.25. — 14 days ago
