Château Rocher Bellevue

Daniel Bouland

Bellevue Morgon Gamay 2022

Black & red cherries, medium heft Morgon with a gossamer smooth palate helped by a robust decant (2+) hours. Paired with a garlicky lemon shrimp main with orzo, & did just fine — 12 days ago

Yum, Bouland is so good! Met him once early on in San Francisco at an importer event where he was pouring (Eric Texier got a few into the event). Great producer!!

Yes, & was reminded these bottles really demand air & aging, or both. This bottle was so much more satisfying with a longer decant & a bit more age@Doug Powers

Cuvée Gaia Muscadet 2017

Gorgeous muscadet. Saline nose, palate is mineral-driven, massive note of oyster shell, citron, creamy, medium acid, medium finish. Like a Chablis from the sea. Beautiful work. — 6 years ago

If only the Rangers could play as well on ice as this delicious wine does on my supple palate.. sigh, well perhaps, like a fine wine, this hockey team will not actually suck ass this evening... — 6 years ago

Château Bellevue Peycharneau

Bordeaux Contrôlée 2015

An award winner every year, Chateau Bellevue Peycharneau is an extraordinary wine produced from a 37-acre hillside vineyard on the far-easter border of Bordeaux, near Bergerac. Deep purple color, Intense, expensive nose of red cherries, blackberries, toast and licorice. Riche and concentrated in the mouth with silky tannins and a nice long finish. Enjoy alone or with steaks, pork loin, turkey and cheeses. — 7 years ago

Château Baron Bellevue

Côtes de Bourg Red Bordeaux Blend 2020

I did not have high hopes for this one especially after paying $7.50. However, this is a well-structured wine! Very dark and really good. I wished I had bought more. — 2 years ago

Outstanding Beaujolais. Shimmers in the glass. Minerals and bright black cherry dominate on the palate, with a smack of flowers on the finish. — 8 months ago

From magnum. Sleek and focused, this has an old school feel to it. Trades weight and density for cut and structure. Distinctly floral on the nose, with crushed red berry, mint and cocoa on the palate. This can sleep a few years. Quite nice. — 5 years ago

Domaine Bellevue

Signargues Côtes du Rhône Villages Red Rhone Blend 2018

Medium ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cranberry, pepper, plum, toast, and vanilla. Medium-plus body; firm, medium-plus tannins and refreshing, medium-plus acidity. An rich, ripe bouquet of fruit and spice; a soft, well-integrated mouthfeel; and an easygoing finish (with a little heat on the backend). A solid, everyday wine. Blend of Grenache (50%), Syrah (30%), Carignan (10%), and Mourvedre (10%). — 6 years ago

Château Bellevue de Tayac

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

I am slightly biased towards merlot dominant Bordeaux blends but damn. I love the flavour profile. This is drinking very well, from a good vintage. — 8 years ago
