Château Tour Haut Vignoble

Bodega Catena Zapata

White Stones Vino de Parcela Adrianna Vineyard Chardonnay 2021

Catena Zapata Chardonnay White Stones 2021
Vignoble: Catena Zapata

Appellation: Mendoza, Argentine

Millésime: 2021

Cépage: Chardonnay

Prix: Élevé - Positionnement premium sur le marché
Apparence
Robe claire et brillante, reflets dorés.
Nez

2013 was a not a great year for Bordeaux apparantly. But not for this second wine of Haut Marbuzet. Plenty of red fruit, nice acidity , maybe a bit too tannic. Nevertheless a good wine! — 3 years ago

First taste!? Mature with a bit of bricking but still nice solid color and bouquet of mature red fruits and earth. Velvety and enticing on palate. Excellent with Evan’s Shanghainese pork belly. 51/43/4/2 Merlot/Cab/CabFranc/Petit Verdot on label from Bernard Magrez touting same attention as his Pape Clement, and long history dating back to 1120. Importer label says 37/55/6/2 instead! (Oldest in Medoc, 1400 by house of Foix loyal to King of England. 1486 Camet new owner. 1500s by Michel de Montaigne.) — 6 months ago

Chateau Haut Tour de Coutelin

Saint Estephe Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

Wow, flavor bomb 💥 intense and complex. Tobacco, mocha, cedar, graphite, and dirt around a nice core of sweet and charred dark fruit, cassis, plum, and blackberry. Soft, round, and long. Yum!

Drank really well after a splash decant, faded a tad after a few hours.

Château Beau-Site Haut-Vignoble

St. Estèphe Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2015

Region: Saint-Estephe Grape Variety: Bordeaux Blend Red ABV: 13.5% . "Ruby red with violet reflections in colour, on the nose, aromas of plum and cassis with notes of spices. On the palate, dry, oaky, smokey, spicy, fruity, hint of tobacco, touch of leather and toast, delivers red fruits character, balanced, lengthy, soft, silky, layered, mature, earthy, persisted, rich, firm. It has a long finish." — 7 months ago

Château La Tour Haut-Brion

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 1990

Dark rubi robe with bricky tears. Nose of secondary and tertiary notes, tobacco, asphalt, cedar, and a hint of dark berries. Medium bodied, a bit off in the finish, but really good bottle and we still have a couple more left :)

Philippe Courrian

Le Tannat 2007

2007 vintage. A 100% Tannat made by a Bordeaux producer (Philippe Courrian also owns Chateau La Tour Haut Caussan) in the Languedoc ( Corbières). Sounds interesting, and it is very good indeed. A little bit animal-like at first, give it some time to breathe in order to discover a panoply of dried herbs, spices and dried black fruits. Rustic, powerful and tannic, still very much alive. Long dry finish. Might not be for everyone, but it has a lot of personality. Try with a wild boar stew. Abv. 14%. Production about 2000 bottles. — 4 years ago
