Great nose. Velvety texture with bold complexity. — a day ago
This has softened considerably since my last bottle several years ago. Nose is complex, with earth, cedar, cigar box, and an incense-like note. In the mouth, it’s rich but medium-bodied. The tannins that were so prominent a few years ago have significantly resolved. Entering (finally) its drinking window. — 11 days ago
Pleasantly surprised how good this is for less than $9. Bright fruity nose. Sweet dark cherries, raspberries, baking spice. Full bodied slightly jammy and smooth as silk with pleasing lingering finish. — 13 days ago

Time to drink. Past its prime however still interesting. Blackberry, plumb with licorice. Some notes of leather along with what seemed stronger than normal alcohol. What you doing in 1987? — 7 days ago

Tasted alongside the Kistler Sonoma Mountain Chardonnay of the same vintage, this wine opens with nose of ripe peach, lemon curd, lightly toasted almond, and a whisper of vanilla—echoing the Kistler’s profile. However, the resemblance stops there. Pineapple and underripe star fruit emerges, lending a refreshing, aromatic lift. On the palate, the tropical theme persists, layered with zesty lime and wet stone minerality. Bright, sharp acidity is balanced by a softly textured mid-palate. Clean precise finish. — a month ago
