A definitely richer, broader and longer wine than the previous 2022 - which probably needs longer aging - this 2023 seems like having matched the core of a shot. Aiming to become one of the great whites of the whole region. Lovely minerality and texture. Long and persistent after taste. — 4 months ago
Medium ruby in color; blackberries, cassis, and graphite on the nose; medium acidity; high tannins; tastes like black cherries, black currants, and wet gravel with a long finish. Needs to decant. It was much better after an hour in the decanter. Nellie said it was ok. I like it. — 6 months ago
65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Malbec, 5% Petite Verdot. Quite tight at this point with the concentration and acidity associated with the high altitude cultivation. It has power but not generosity. Cassis, black cherry, stony minerality and well managed oak influences but nothing tertiary yet. Firm on the palate, medium finish. It needs a few more years to relax. — 15 days ago

Not bad but will not get another — 6 months ago
Decanted this for an hour and a half and reserved a glass in the bottle for the second day. These notes are based on the second day, as the flavors seemed to shine through a bit more. On the nose, aromas of blackberry and leather, although had to do quite a bit of swirling to get the aromas to come through. On the palette , beautifully deep flavors of blackberry and black currant coming through, with hints of graphite and cocoa in the background. Tannins seems pretty well integrated with good acidity, although definitely some grip on the finish. Cocoa seems to come through a bit more on the finish as well. Overall really tasty, but seems to be closing down a bit for sure. I have one more bottle, so looking forward to seeing how this tastes in 5-10 years time. — 2 months ago
Rich and smooth/velvety. Awesome red fruit. Light but depth. Drank at mahogany with Smiths. Love this. — 6 months ago
"Odedi"
Deep ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Strong nose of black currants, plums, oak, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf, herbs, eucalyptus, light vegetables and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, spices, chocolates, oak, licorice, light cola, vegetables and peppercorn.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 8 year old Malbec based blend from the house of Cheval Blanc is starting to drink very nicely now. Feels like a Right Bank Bordeaux.
Soft, smooth and elegant. Rich and fruit forward. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Complex and interesting.
Needed 90 minutes in the decanter to open up properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.
