For the price - great. — 4 years ago
Savoury & juicy with ripe cherry, leather & roast, moist earth, tobacco leaf and with a whiff of thyme and salvia.
On the palate fresh, juicy, with grippy, slightly rustic tannins (but w/o becoming big & burly) and good flow. Highly drinkable and extremely food friendly.
This remains one of my favorite Chianti Classicos. — 5 years ago
Just started trying Chianti and after 4 bottles of other Classicos this is the first one I’ve liked. Yay! — 6 years ago
Well bodied and smoky end. We had it with traditional southern Brazilian barbecue and was a perfect combination. — 7 years ago

Castell'in Villa's 2015 Chianti Classico is a gorgeous wine that will delight readers who enjoy the Chianti Classicos of this reference-point estate in Castelnuovo Berardenga. Crushed flowers, mint, licorice, dried herbs, cedar and tobacco give the 2015 lovely aromatic complexity. The 2015 is perhaps a bit more open than young wines tend to be here, but then again, 2015 is a warm vintage that generally yielded accessible Chianti Classicos. All that means is that the 2015 can be enjoyed with less cellaring than is the norm here. As it so often is, the Castell'in Villa Chianti Classico is a wine of real pedigree and distinction. 2015. Great pizza wine. Very proper and very approachable. Better than most chianti classicos. — 8 years ago
Just returned from a week in Montepulciano.
While the ancient town’s signature “Nobile” wine isn’t as well regarded as neighbor Montalcino’s famous Brunello, this wine held up big time. Drank like some of the Chianti Classicos I’ve enjoyed from the area some 50 miles north — dry with big flavor, salt, crisp tannins — probably my favorite rosso from our week in Italy. — a year ago
Rhonda likes a lot, abd it is as good as the other sparkling wines. It is from Brazil. At $5 a bottle at total wine and Moore it is a steal — 6 years ago
Having this with mom, Carol, Christy and Mayra in Orvieto. We are loving it. Carol and Christy taste peach. I think crisp, apples, a little thicker than the 3 Orvieto Classicos we tried earlier. — 7 years ago
One of the top classicos I’ve enjoyed. — 7 years ago
Refreshing, sweet, light, almost muscadine summer wine that pairs particularly well with cheese. Kept well in a hot apartment. — 8 years ago
Unbelievably good wine, following several other wines this still stood out for its clarity and structure. Every sip was just another taste of its quality. — 9 years ago

Terroir driven sangiovese. Very similar to brunellos and chianti classicos yet different. — 3 months ago
