This is really good, at my dad's from village corner — 4 years ago
— 5 years ago

Deliciously sweet, almost like a sparkling grape juice with a hint of alcohol. Paired well with a tart kiwi desert. — 2 years ago
K is a big fan. Tobacco, spice, a hint of cherry. Thicker body but consistently dry throughout. Solid dinner wine — 5 years ago

Amazing 2010 bottle from Montalcino — 10 years ago
Clear, pale ruby in color. On the nose, it has medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of hibiscus, cloves, and raspberries. On the palate, it's dry with high acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and medium intensity flavors of tart cherries, lavender, and dried herbs with a long finish. This wine is complex with balanced fruit, acidity, and tannins. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 10 months ago

Aromatic, beautiful, strong on alcohol but light in mouth, well balanced, a great pleasure all along the pranzo at La Rosa Dei Venti. In Senariollo, Sardegna, a wonderful place to eat local products craft fully made by the cook — 6 years ago
This bottle really exceeded my expectations. Just a beautiful nose of sandalwood, Asian spices, dried cherries, and a bit of dark chocolate. Lovely tart cherry and potpourri on the palate, perhaps just a bit lacking in the mid-palate. The tannins really show up on the finish. Paired beautifully with pasta in a truffle cream sauce. — 8 years ago

Albino Armani – “Colle Ara” Pinot Grigio, 2023
Terra dei Forti DOC – Valdadige – Italy 🇮🇹
Overview
A skin-contact Pinot Grigio from Valdadige, crafted with short maceration to extract color, texture, and phenolic grip. The 2023 vintage brings a fresh, lifted profile, balancing structure with vibrancy, far from the neutral, conventional style.
Aromas & Flavors
Layered and expressive: dried orchard fruit, orange peel, subtle spice, and tea-like notes. Savory nuances with a light herbal edge.
Mouthfeel
Textural and structured with gentle phenolic grip (almost tannin-like). Dry, with notable sapidity and salinity, supported by 2023’s bright acidity. Clean, persistent finish without astringency.
Food Pairings
Ideal with Asian fusion, noodles, grilled seafood, and umami-driven dishes. Also excellent with roasted vegetables or lightly spiced cuisine.
Verdict
A smart, expressive Pinot Grigio that bridges classic Italian precision and orange wine philosophy. The 2023 vintage adds extra lift, making it both intriguing and highly drinkable. A perfect “surprise bottle.”
