Table # 8 cost extra for suntan,Thanksgiving wine #8. Always a fave. Wish I had brought more of this back, it just keeps getting richer, rounded. — 7 years ago
Valdivieso of Chile, central valley, Caballo Loco #8. 14% alc. This blend is unknown as the grapes are not mentioned on the bottle. The color is ruby red with a tint of brown like we see in most French wines. The bouquet is like an Italian Sangiovese with hints of blueberry pie and dandelions. The palate is characteristic of dark cherry and blueberry and a hint of dark currant. There is a slight hint of oak and moss. No spice, no other real flavors that I can detect. A very simple wine. The finish is quick and mildly dry. Not my favorite, but not bad for a South American wine. — 8 years ago

My last Little Wine #8 - see previous notes, from only 17 weeks ago - these will be brief. A blend of 5 vintages of 2015 to 2019 inclusive. Very much the product of ancient vines which it is. Black fruits with plums and dark chocolate with those trademark silky tannins and low acid. One could not help but love this. I see Suckling gave this 97 points. I just took delivery of this year’s allocation which is mainly from the fabulous 2021 vintage in South Australia. — 3 years ago

Ouch, not paying $150.00Wine Advent(ure) #8. First time having a Torrontes wine. Very pleasant surprise. Notes of apricot and Meyer lemon on the nose. Crisp, tart and dry throughout. Lemon peel and apricot seem the predominant flavors. — 5 years ago
Punching way above its weight. Chocolate, cinnamon, tobacco, vanilla from the oak, on the nose. Viscous on the palate; not tannic, but well defined. Really satisfying, especially at $17. Pandemic bottle #8. — 6 years ago

Catalan wine tasting #8
Amazing complex nose, slightly fruity, more animalistic, mineral, earthy.
Dark cherry, black rock, leather, wild herbs, cold roast.
Amazing on the palate. With great precision, concentration and yet freshness. Insane!
And depth. Great depth and character!
Spicy, fresh, juicy with great purity.
Absolutely stunning! A truly elegant, complex, profound wine!
Needs 6h breathing but does not disappoint! — 3 years ago
Coteaux de l’Aubance sweet white. Domaine de la Perruche tasting #8. Lovely, Chenin blanc so not quite like Monbazillac though the resemblance is obvious. 22/7-2022 — 4 years ago

Always one of my favorites from Campovida. We saved this for our 5th anniversary, but we’re just now getting around to it on #8. Incredibly smooth. Cherries. — a year ago
